Wonderments is an ongoing editorial and archival project dedicated to documenting and sharing the life, work, and legacy of the painter John Winslow (1938-2024). Through essays, video, and digital storytelling, the project connects historical materials with contemporary audiences.
Unlike a static archive, Wonderments is an active, narrative-driven platform. Materials are not only preserved—they are recontextualized through storytelling, research, and public-facing media. The goal is to make archival content accessible, engaging, and relevant to both general audiences and institutional stakeholders.
Wonderments is not currently affiliated with any museum, institution, or gallery. The Wonderments Project currently operates independently while collaborating with collectors, researchers, and institutions. The project is being fiscally sponsored and developed by Dale Bell, co-founder of the Media Policy Center, an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit production entity based in Santa Monica, CA. Dale Bell
